Old English Tutors

Carmenta's Old English Tutors are experts in the language, which is the earliest version of the English language, brought to Britain by immigrants from Europe in the fifth century AD. Old English was spoken throughout England and parts of Scotland, and it was eventually replaced by Middle English after the Norman Conquest. In England, Old English replaced the two dominant languages of the time, Latin and Common Brittonic. The four main dialects of Old English were associated with the most powerful English kingdoms: West Saxon, Northumbrian, Kentish, and Mercian. Our Old English Tutors (like all instructors at Carmenta Online PhD Tutors) are experts in the language as well as related archaic languages from the British Isles. Carmenta Tutor rates range from $75/hr. to $220/hr. If you are interested in hiring one of our tutors, please Email or call us at (212) 203-8734.
